Trivia Night!
Flex your mental muscles at the annual QVR Rotaract Trivia Night Fundraiser! This unique, fast-paced event tests the knowledge of teams of 8-people in the traditional pub style write-in format. Proceeds from the event benefit the QVR Rotaract Club Scholarship Foundation, providing college scholarships to local students who demonstrate a strong focus on community involvement, outstanding academic achievements, and positive extracurricular activities - in short, a true representative of the club's motto "Service Above Self".
HOW DOES IT WORK?!
The trivia competition will consist of 5 rounds, each with 7 questions. The format will be all write-in style with each round focused on one category. The final round will consist of a semi-final and final round where teams are allowed to wager however much they'd like.
WHAT CAN YOU WIN?!
The winning team will walk away with a $300 cash prize – plus we’ll have additional cash prizes for the first & second runner-up! Additionally, we will have a team spirit award for the team with the most "spirit" - whether it's costumes, a theme, or anything else!
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?!
Trivia Teams of up to 8-players may join us for an $80 registration fee, which includes food for all players. That’s only $10 a player for a team of 8!

Hot Dog Eating Contest
The QVR Rotaract Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual community fundraiser that brings people together for a fun and friendly competition while supporting a great cause. Participants compete to see who can eat the most hot dogs, and spectators enjoy an exciting event filled with community spirit, laughter, and local support. Proceeds from the fundraiser help QVR Rotaract continue its service projects, support local initiatives, and provide scholarships that make a positive impact throughout the Quiet Corner. Whether you're competing, cheering on contestants, or volunteering, the Hot Dog Eating Contest is a great way to connect with the community while giving back.
The Hot Dog Eating Contest is typically held on the same day as the Putnam Fireworks celebration. The event takes place on the main stage at Rotary Park in Putnam, CT, and is held before the fireworks begin. It's a fun way for contestants and spectators to kick off an evening of community celebration.
